Davide Mancini Zanchi

Davide Mancini Zanchi challenges the traditional investigation of painting that characterizes the 20th century: he shows, through his ironic and humorous approach, that painting can exist beyond the simply union of support, color and brushstrokes. Mancini Zanchi does not privilege a specific medium. He defines his practice as « polymorphic » and « trans-media ». He approaches the world through the logic of « acting without a reason » or rather « the uselessness of the action ». This strategy allows him to explore infinite media, discovering unlimited possibilities and solutions.

Born in Urbino (Italy) in 1986. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Urbino. In 2014, he won the « Premio Lissone » and he had a residency at Dena Foundation for Contemporary Art in Paris.
